The Best 10 Minute Veggie Burger (with all the fixins!)

The Best 10 Minute Veggie Burger (with all the fixins!)

Trying to cut down on meat and looking for a tasty alternative? Try this recipe that only takes about 10 minutes to make and tastes delicious-

Sprouted Bun
Ezekiel is a great brand. Or for a healthier alternative- wrap your burger in lettuce!

My personal favorite is avocado, tomato, and spinach leaves. Or try grilled pineapple for a tropical taste!

 Optional- Vegan Cheese
Daiya cheese melts like regular cheese and their flavors are to die for.

Don’t forget to garnish with a side salad!

You can grill your burger, put it in a frying pan or put it in the oven, but stay with it because unlike traditional burgers these burgers are ready in just a few short minutes. When it is ready, place on bun or lettuce, add your favorite fixins, a side salad and in less than ten minutes you have a healthy, tasty meatless meal!

Why is this healthy?

Reason #1- It’s super healthy because Dr. Praeger’s brand Veggie Burger’s include some awesome ingredients such as Carrots, Onions, String Beans, Zucchini, Peas, Broccoli, Corn,  Spinach, Red Peppers, Garlic and Parsley!

Reason #2- It’s super healthy because you are adding some great “fixins” (yeah I’m from the south, ya’ll) such as avocado, spinach leaves and tomato. These healthy vegetables boost our immune systems and help ward off disease. Avocados are great for your eyes, your skin and your heart, and are one of the best sources of vitamin E!

Reason #3- It’s super healthy because you are cutting one meal of meat out of your week. It’s OK to have a burger once in awhile, but too much meat consumption can cause many health problems due to the yucky additives in today’s meat supply like growth hormones, herbicides, pesticides, and the toxic diet that the cow itself is fed. Health problems of too much of this stuff can include high blood pressure, heart attacks and cancer.

Reason #4- This recipe includes a salad instead of french fries. A single serving of french fries typically has 500 calories. Plus gross artery clogging oils and fats that our body stores instead of burns.

Reason #5- The entire meal is vegan, meaning you are not having any animal products in this meal. Wondering about protein? Don’t sweat it! You are getting loads of protein from the leafy green vegetables in your salad. AND your veggie burger has protein as well.
